复活节的英文

Easter
Easter celebrates the sacred resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the most important feast in the Christian liturgical calendar. The churches are filled with worshipers, the altars are decorated with flowers, and the music proclaims the joy of the season.
Easter is a movable feast and it does not fall on a fixed date every year. Rather, Easter Sunday falls sometime between March 22 and April 25 on the first Sunday after the first full moon following March 21. The date of Easter Sunday was established by the church council of Nicaea in A.D. 325.
There are many interesting and symbolic customs to celebrated Easter. For example, the custom of a sunrise service on Easter Sunday can be traced to ancient spring festivals that celebrated the rising sun. The custom developed further in the Middle Ages, when celebrations at sunrise were also popular. People gathered to pray as the sun appeared and then went in procession to their churches. Besides, according to tradition, on the Easter day, when people meet their friends, they kissed 3 times to bless and congratulated each other. Then they exchange Easter eggs, Easter cakes as a symbol of new life. Apart from the Easter eggs, the new clothes people wear in the parade on Easter Sunday also symbolize new life. Moreover, on this day, all people can freely go to the church and strike the bell anytime. Thus, throughout the day, you can hear the sounding bell everywhere.
