A three-day exhibition showcasing China's civil aviation innovation achievements wrapped up in Beijing, serving as an important platform to demonstrate high-quality development in the sector. Organizers displayed new technology applications in civil aviation innovation, including big data, artificial intelligence, mobile internet and cloud computing, that could assist with building safe, reliable and independent industrial and supply chains in the civil aviation industry.

北京开展老旧小区改造专项检查

Beijing will carry out inspections from March 24 to November 30 to guarantee the quality and safety of old neighborhood renovation projects. The construction quality of roofs, exterior walls, windows, gas, water and sewage pipes will be inspected.

为进一步加强老旧小区改造工程质量安全管理工作，北京从3月24号到11月30号将开展全市城镇老旧小区改造工程专项检查。在工程质量方面，将重点检查屋面、外墙、建筑外窗、上下水管道等涉及重要使用功能的施工质量情况。同时，各有关单位还将对屋顶、窗户、墙面的防水施工管控和相关预案落实情况。

The number of outbound group tour destinations in China has increased to 60 after group tour services resumed in the industry. The number of bookings for the May Day holiday (May 1-May 5) is increasing rapidly. Thailand, Egypt, Switzerland, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Maldives are among the most popular destinations for Chinese group travellers.

随着第二批出境团队旅游业务的试点恢复，目前国内出境团队游目的地已增加到60个。目前“五一”假期出境游产品预订已经提前进入高峰。泰国、埃及、瑞士、新加坡、马来西亚、马尔代夫都是当前报名火爆的“五一”海外跟团目的地。

新航季北京两机场新增多条航线

China national civil aviation's 2023 Summer-Autumn Flight Schedule started on March 26. Beijing Capital International Airport will add 6 international routes to Minsk, Warsaw, Nha Trang, Phnom Penh, Amsterdam and Helsinki. Beijing Daxing International Airport will add 14 international routes to destinations including Dallas, Riyadh and Sabah.

3月26日起，全国民航将执行2023年夏秋航季航班计划。首都机场新航季将新增至明斯克、华沙、芽庄、金边、阿姆斯特丹、赫尔辛基6条国际航线；大兴机场新航季将新增至达拉斯、利雅得、沙巴等14条国际航线。

中国和荷兰航空公司恢复北京直航

Chinese and Dutch airlines resumed their direct flights from Amsterdam to Beijing on Sunday after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The new Amsterdam-Beijing Daxing route will start from four weekly flights and increase in accordance with market demand. Dutch airline KLM said it marked the "recovery of the routes from and via Amsterdam to China. The Chinese market is important in KLM's network, due to demand from business travelers."

3月26日，中国、荷兰航空公司恢复了阿姆斯特丹至北京的直航，此前由于新冠肺炎疫情中断了三年。新阿姆斯特丹-北京大兴航线将从每周四个航班开始，并根据市场需求增加。荷兰航空公司表示，这标志着“从阿姆斯特丹到中国的航线的恢复。由于商务旅客的需求，中国市场在荷航的网络中非常重要。”

Some culture and tourism entities in Beijing are testing a new business model offering discounts to seniors in off peak hours to stimulate consumption and fill up venues during the time when young people are working and children are in schools. For example, people over 60 can get 50% off ticket prices (other than in VIP or 4D theaters) at the Xidan Capital Cinema.

年轻人上班，孩子们上学，文旅消费场所总有些“冷门时段”。北京已有不少机构先行一步，在不增加运营成本基础上，充分开发非热门时段的“银发专场”，设计合理消费价格，让老人得到实惠，商家也减少闲置浪费。例如在首都电影院西单店，除了VIP厅和4D厅，60岁以上老人现场购票均为挂牌价的五折。

北京41处水库湖泊4月1日起进入禁渔期

Fishing season in 41 reservoirs and lakes in Beijing including Miyun Reservoir and Guanting Reservoir, will end at midnight of April 1st. Aside for recreational fishing, all other fishing operations are prohibited. The fishing ban system aims to protect fish during spawning and breeding season in order to conserve fishing resources, maintain aquatic biodiversity, and protect the aquatic ecosystems.

4月1号0时起，北京市密云水库、官厅水库等41处水库湖泊进入禁渔期，禁止除娱乐性垂钓以外的所有渔业捕捞作业。禁渔制度是在鱼类产卵繁育的关键时期，禁止开展捕捞作业的一项保护制度，在养护渔业资源，维护水生生物多样性，以及保护水域生态环境等方面发挥重要作用。

北京动物园：

大熊猫“萌兰”运动场周边区域将限时参观

The Beijing Zoo recently published a notice suggesting visitors to the Giant Panda Pavilion to avoid peak time during weekends. In addition, time restriction will be implemented in areas around the playground of a star panda named Menglan, whose popularity keeps growing.

Researchers at the Miyun District Plant Protection Station are using insects for pest control. For example, they let flower flies extinguish aphids who eat seedlings crazily. In recent years, Chinese people have gradually realized that the abuse of chemical pesticides can be extremely harmful both to humans and the environment. Pesticide residues have also become the public's greatest concern when buying produce. New safe and environmentally friendly methods are constantly being explored.
