第七届中国—亚欧博览会将于9月19日至22日在新疆乌鲁木齐市举办。本届博览会将以线上线下相结合的方式举办，其中，3600家企业线上参展参会。

2010年，党中央、国务院决定将连续举办十九届的乌鲁木齐对外经济贸易洽谈会升格为国家级展会中国—亚欧博览会，以进一步扩大我国沿边开放和向西开放步伐，加快将新疆建设成为我国向西开放桥头堡。2011年9月1日至5日，首届“中国—亚欧博览会”在位于乌鲁木齐的新疆国际会展中心举办。在有关各方的大力支持和共同努力下，亚欧博览会成功举办了六届，在政治、外交、经贸、科技、人文等领域取得了系列成果。

随着我国扩大对外开放、西部大开发、共建“一带一路”等深入推进，新疆从相对封闭的内陆变成对外开放的前沿，要推进丝绸之路经济带核心区建设，把新疆的区域性开放战略纳入国家向西开放的总体布局中，创新开放型经济体制，加快建设对外开放大通道，更好利用国际国内两个市场、两种资源，积极服务和融入新发展格局。
